Do you know what is the verb stem(root) for 'written' or 'wrote'?
The answer is 'write'. Korean verbs also have regular and irregular verbs just like English.
for example;
가요, 간다 (go). 갈거다, 갈거예요 (will go). 갔다 (went). 벌서 갔지(gone).
Verb stem(VST) for this is 가다.

‘VST + 는데/(으)ㄴ데’ ending used when a related situation is explained in order to draw a content of the following clause.
(Example)
· 좀 가르쳐 주세요. (이 문제가 어려워요)
이 문제가 어려운데 좀 가르쳐 주세요. [This question is hard, so please help me] (Exercise)
Compose and write a single sentene using ‘VST + 는데/(으)ㄴ데’ ending.
1 돈 좀 주세요. (내일이 생일이다) [Tomorrow is my birthday, so please give me some money]
2 천천히 말해 주세요. (잘 안들려요) [I did not hear well, so speak slowly please]
3 깍아 주세요. (비싸요) [It’s expensive, low the price/discount please]
4 히터를 켜 주세요. (추워요) [It’s freezing, please turn the heater on]
5 물 좀 주세요. (목이 말라요) [I am thirsty, please give me some water]
